A brou do surf Holly Beck avisa:
Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that I am working with a non-profit called SYRV to do a retreat the last week of Summer. All inclusive prices start at $1,000 (depending on your room choice). 4 nights in Jiquilillo and 3 nights in San Juan Del Sur. This trip is a little more volunteer-focused, but with plenty of surf, yoga, and adventure as well! See the attached flyer and check out the website. Hope you can make it! : ) Holly. http://www.suavedulce.com
E diz mais coisas para nós do Top Wings:
How old are you, where do you live and how long have you been surfing?
I'm 29 and i've been surfing 15 years. I live part time in Redondo Beach, CA, and the rest of the time in Nicaragua.
How and where started your wish to surf?
When i was 13 I really wanted to learn to surf but my mom said "no, surfing is for boys only". It took me a year to save up money by babysitting my neighbor's kids to buy myself a surfboard and a wetsuit at a garage sale. Then, i was determined to learn to surf and prove my mom wrong. Girls can surf too!
Do you have sponsors?
I'm sponsored by Body Glove, Rusty, Sector 9, Bravo Condoms, and Go211.com
During your surfing career, what was the most important thing that have happened for you?
I won the 2001 NSSA National Championships. I was on a reality tv show called Boarding House North Shore. Those two things together really helped my career and allow me to travel the world and get paid to surf!
What is the beach (wave) you most like and why?
I love my spots in Nicaragua because the water is warm, the waves are good, and the crowd is mellow but i won't tell you exactly which beach!
How your surfboard quiver is and tell us about how (few details like size, tail, shape) is your preferred surfboard?
I ride all different boards right now. Rusty Surfboards are the best! I have had a 5'4 quad model called a Dwart that works really well. It flies! I like the Rusty GTR 5'10 also. It has 5 fin boxes so i can experiment with riding it as a four fin and a thruster.
Have you been to Brazil? What do you know about Brazil?
I have been to Brazil three times: Florianopolis, Santa Catarina, and Itacare. I liked the more jungle feel of Itacare best. It is a beautiful country with good waves!
What is your message for girls that want starting surfing?
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Believe in yourself and anything is possible!
Plans for the future?
I hope to be able to inspire more ladies to follow their dreams, love the ocean, and give back to the community around them.
